Weather

Spain enjoys a privileged location as one of Europe's most southern countries, featuring typical Mediterranean weather and some of Europe's sunniest cities. Madrid, for example, ranks fifth in Europe in most sun hours yearly, while Barcelona ranks ninth.

For the most part, in Spain you can expect to find favorable weather. Spring and early autumn are ideal for riding, as are the summer months early in the mornings to avoid the high temperatures.

Bike rental

We provide affordable bike rental, featuring top leading brands. Our rental price is 50€/day or 250€/week. We don't offer rental insurance, so any accidents that the customer may have while riding will be his/her own responsibility.

We work primarily with brands suchas as Giant, Cannondale or Specialized. Rental bikes feature carbon frames, Ultegra group sets and disc brakes, though some components may vary based on availability and bike size.

Hotels

All of our hotels are hand picked and are classified four stars or above. However, please keep in mind that there is always the possibility of changing selected hotels due to unforeseen circumstances or emergencies out of our control.

Our hotels feature top-notch facilities and all of the luxury and comfort you would expect from a high-rated lodging facility. Most of them are centrally located and provide safe and easy access to restaurants, supermarkets and attractions.

Meals & opening hours

Spain is known worldwide for its gastronomy, where the paella and the tapa reign supreme. Some of the world's best chefs are from Spain and the country is home to a large number of Michelin-star restaurants.

Keep in mind that Spaniards eat later than other countries. This means that restaurants open later and stay open longer hours. Typically, lunch is served from 2-3.30 pm and diner from 9-11 pm.

Electrical current/plugs

Spain's electrical network runs on 220v. If you come from Latin America or the USA/Canada, your electrical gadgets run on 110v. This means you'll need a converter for your gadgets to work here, unless they are 220v compliant.

Our electrical sockets are also different. You will need an adaptor to plug in your gadgets. You can bring your own, buy one from us or purchase it  from any store that carries them.

Money exchange

Spain's currency is the euro. Please note that US dollars are not accepted as payment. If you bring US dollars or any other type of foreign currency, you'll need to exchange it for euros.

You can exchange your money at the airport or at any bank in Spain. We recommend to buy euros before coming to Spain, as access to banks may be difficult while we are cycling (banks close in the afternoon, which is when you will have free time).
